Turmeric Latte

I tried making this Turmeric Latte for the first time in a period of abstinence from alcohol (I needed to make it interesting!). I fell in love! According to many sources Turmeric can help in cancer prevention and a host of other health benefits. Whatever the health benefits may or may not be, it’s a truly comforting drink for a winter’s day and simple to make.

  • Almond or Coconut Milk - enough to fill your favorite mug
  • 1 Tsp Honey
  • 1 Heaped Tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
  • Good pinch of Ground Ginger
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla Essence


Gently heat the milk over a medium heat. The best milks to use are almond or coconut milk ( if using coconut, use the carton variety not the tin). Add a teaspoon of honey and stir to melt.

Pour a little of the milk into your cup and add the turmeric powder, cinnamon, a good pinch of ground ginger and a teaspoon of good quality vanilla essence. Stir to mix well.

Once the remaining milk is hot, pour it into the mug stirring continually to mix well. If you have a latte frother, use this to give it a lovely creamy froth. Sit back, with your feet up, and enjoy!
